This year, we've made some donations and have supported Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Prime Beef Festival, Dame Fine Coffee's #RileyStrong fundraiser, National Wear Red Day for heart disease awareness and World Down Syndrome Day.
In April and August, we held a blood drive! The blood collected was sent to our local hospitals to help save many lives!

Every year, we host a Santa For Seniors tree in partnership with Strom Center. During the Christmas season, look for our senior tree and be a Santa to a local senior!
In November of 2021, Security Savings Bank donated to our community's local food pantries. Thank you for serving our community!
Our local radio station, Prairie Communications, broadcasting as 97.7 WMOI and 1330 WRAM, recently held the "1/2 Way Freezin' for Food" event on June 3rd and 4th. Several SSB staff participated along with many other people from the community, to help raise money for food that will go to Roseville Helping Hands Food Pantry and Jamieson Center Food Pantry.
Security Savings donated a check for $1,000 to the Holy Family Front Line Caregiver Fund to start off 2021. Money from this fund will be spent to provide day-to-day support to Mission Partners with meals, supplies, additional PPE gear and more. The goal is to help make our local front line caregivers feel appreciated and encouraged to continue to battle COVID-19. SSB staff also held an internal fundraiser to further support this initiative.
Even though 2020 has been a challenging year for most of us, Security Savings Bank was able to make possible several significant donations to businesses and non-profit organizations in our communities by securing grants from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago.
A $20,000 COVID-19 Relief Grant to assist local nonprofits was presented to:
A $15,000 grant from FHLB of Chicago’s Targeted Impact Fund to support relief efforts and promote equity and opportunity to the community.
